HSDPA-enabled LG Prada phone

When you're in Japan, handset makers are fine-tuning their products to meet the high-tech needs of advanced Japanese mobile phone users. That being stated, NTT DoCoMo announced it is working alongside LG to develop the new Prada phone.

From what we can tell, aside from the 7.2Mbps HSDPA support, the device is pretty much the same as the original Prada phone, boasting 2 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens and 3-inch touchscreen. Hopefully, we're missing something and the new Prada phone will also come with some other, still unannounced features like let's say WiFi support.

Interested users will have to wait till June, when DoCoMo vowed to release the device.

QStarz BT-Q818 eXtremeQStarz recently announced the new Bluetooth GPS receiver, BT-Q818 eXtreme, which they claim is world's most powerful. Features of the device are pretty impressive and include 51-Channel Performance tracking for fast acquisition and reacquisition, low power consumption that enable up to 32 hours of use, fast position fix (cold start 39s, warm begin 36s, hot begin 1s), WAAS+EGNOS support, and auto on/off function. According to Navigadget, what makes the difference is the adjustable update rate which can be somewhere between 1 and 5Hz, making the device suitable for application where timing is crucial.

The QStarz BT-Q818 already won several awards from few of the industry publications. For instance, PocketNavigation.de stated the Bluetooth GPS receiver provides users with “very high sensitivity and accuracy, long running time as well,” while Spanish Pcedmano.com rated the device with 9.5 out of 10 points… More information is available on QStarz's website.

Details on unreleased handsets sometimes pop up in some unlikely places. The Sprint Palm Treo 800w is slated to release in a couple months, but that apparently has stopped a user from testing their own Palm Treo 800w on DSL Reports' website.

The user-agent data shows that the bandwidth tester was using a Palm Treo 800w on Sprint's network. Display resolution was apparently set at 320

Who knew the 3G (third-generation) data networks across the globe were involved with gang-life? According to Wikipedia, the 3G network technology is apparently “the third generation of gangster mobile phones standards and technomology, supersoaking 2G.”

This is what happens when anyone is granted to edit Wiki articles.

3G is gangster

We knew 3G data networks were the hotness, but we didn't know they were G-A-N-G-S-T-A!

Props to Macenstein for the find.
