ModeLabs’ Bluetrek Metal is the world’s thinnest Bluetooth headset
Posted by: admin in Mobile
The company behind microSD-slot-packin' Bluetrek Bizz, ModeLabs, announced a new Bluetooth headset. Instead of packing additional features like its predecessor, this baby rather focuses on size.
At just 4mm of thickness with weight that doesn't exceed 5.5 grams, Bluetrek Metal is the world's thinnest Bluetooth headset, period! You would think the size will limit the functionality of the device, but no - its battery can work for up to 5 hours in speak mode and more than 7 days in sleep mode. On the other hand, I wouldn't expect the Jawbone-like sound quality, but a decent sound quality is promised nonetheless.
Finally, let's speak about pricing and availability. According to ModeLabs' release, Bluetrek Metal will be commercially available in Europe (select markets I guess, France is specially mentioned) later in the month. 39 EUR purchases you the aluminium black+silver version, while the more costly, silver stainless steel version costs 49 EUR.
And before I let you go, check out one more shot after the jump.
