HTC has broke the horrible news via Twitter:

sad news, US. we looked into it- by the time we could bring Touch HD to the says, it would be old news. we do have other cool stuff coming

Before you begin contacting your favorite importer, let me add that I wouldn’t get this too serious. The way I see it, HTC just wants to push the sales of its Diamond and the Touch Pro smartphones while they don’t prepare the Touch HD for the U.S. market, sign all the necessary papers and push the WVGA screen equipped device through carriers…

Softbank Mobile has recently scored its first major corporate customer for the iPhone in Japan. It’s a management and technology consultancy firm called BearingPoint.

BearingPoint’s idea is to help its consultants improve the productivity and enable them to get information more easily. For that purpose, the company has ordered “at least 1,000 units” of the iPhone from SoftBank.

It’s an important win for both Apple and SoftBank, though we’re still not hearing that impressive iNumbers from the “Land of the rising Sun…”

Eldar Saga announced for the Wii screenshot

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga is heading to the Wii according to a spread in latest issue of the Weekly Famitsu. The developer of the title, Marvelous Entertainment, appears to be keeping the title close to its PlayStation Portable roots.

Here’s a list of the confirmed features from the spread that Gamekyo threw together:

  • 60 quests in Vestoria universe.
  • Battle system in real time, action oriented.
  • Customization of your character.
  • Coop mode via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

While I wasn’t exactly too amazed by the first title on the PSP, I have the ability to definitely see the potential on the Wii. Especially if cooperative play functions how I expect it will. No other details such as release date or even localization are known yet at this time.

What do you guys consider this? Are you ready for a new RPG on the Wii?

de Blob screenshot

de Blob’s rise from an art school project to a high-profile Wii release will likely go down as one of videogaming’s great Cinderella stories. It’s not everyday that some hard-working kids manage get discovered by a real-life game developer, and when they do, the whole industry takes notice.

AT&T is pumping up its faster 3G network with the launch of the Pantech C610. The new clamshell from Pantech features faster browsing, access to music downloads, media streaming and one-way video calls via HSDPA. Bluetooth audio and microSD storage are also on-board.

Cost was a concern, and by re-jigging some hardware choices. In a trade-off, Pantech is running only a 1.3 MP camera, and an assist-only GPS.

You can pick up the C610 for only $29 on a 2-year plan with AT&T. The device should be available for buy at some point later this day. No word on contract-free pricing yet, but I’m sure that’ll trickle down the pipe soon.
