Despite presenting stuff like Wii Music as the future of gaming, Nintendo of America is still adamant that it has what the hardcore crowd is looking for. Good old Cammie “That Woman” Dunaway is here to explain how!

“I feel there are titles that should make that group stand up and pay attention next year,” explains Cammie, when speaking about Call of Duty/BioShock/Halo fans. “If you look at something like [Sega-published FPS] The Conduit that’s really pushing the edge of graphic capabilities on the Wii and doing things that people didn’t think were possible. And I think, one, that makes other developers stand up and take notice. And two, that makes consumers state, ‘Huh. Maybe there’s something to this.’

“Or if you look at [Sega-published brawler] Mad World, just the sheer creativity of that graphic style and the impact of the black and the white and the red.”

I think it’s ironic indeed that the ideal looking stuff on a Nintendo platform is being published by Sega. Between The Conduit, Mad World and House of the Dead: Overkill, it has been left to a former arch rival to put some really compelling stuff on the system.
