Boxee, an all-in-one media center for your PC, is slowly gaining momentum as a go-to source for all of your videos, pics, and music. This week, the company has signed up Netflix so users can seamlessly stream movies on their computer by using their TV remotes. On this Daily Debrief, CNET’s Kara Tsuboi and Josh Lowensohn discuss why Boxee has the right ingredients to be a game-changer in how we watch our media.

Ready 2 Rumble Revolution announced for Wii screenshot

We’ve been hearing rumors of a new Ready 2 Rumble game lately, including an Amazon.com leak this morning. Now Atari has made it official with the announcement of Ready 2 Rumbe Revolution for the Wii.

The series is making its debut on the Wii, now armed with motion controls. The Nunchuck acts as one glove, and the Wii Remote acts as the other.

The game will feature 20 boxers, each based on celebrities from the worlds of sports, music and movies. Celebrities enter the ring as larger-than-life “Rumble-ized” versions of themselves. Announcer Michael Buffer is signed on to let us know that we’re “ready to rumble.” A new Champonship Mode lets players create their own boxer and then bring them up through the ranks, using minigames to hone thier skills.

World at War can't be shaken, Resistance 2 not so successful screenshot

Another week, another round of UK chart positions, and yet another top slot for Activision’s Call of Duty: World at War. It’s hardly surprising that a World War II game does so well in the UK. After all, WWII was the last time Britain was ever good at something.

Resistance 2 seems to be following LittleBigPlanet’s footsteps by having respectable sales, but failing to set the charts on fire like its rivals’ exclusives have done. While Gears of War 2 and anything on the Wii have all enjoyed top positions, Insomniac’s PS3-exclusive shooter debuts at number ten.

It is interesting to note that Lips, Microsoft’s big “casual” title that was supposed to bring in all sorts of new consumers, failed to chart in the top twenty at all. Given the massive success of SingStar in the UK, this makes it doubly interesting. Not that I expect Microsoft to take the hint and focus on its own market. I’m sure MS will continue desperately aping the Wii.

Otherwise, it’s the usual suspects of FIFA 09, Need for Speed and Brain Training. Hit the jump for the full chart listing.

The Red Knight always triumphs! screenshot

My apologies to the person who responded to our Sonic Unleashed review with the hope that this meant an end to Sonic news being posted on the site. Unfortunately for you, Sonic and the Black Knight, the next title in Sonic’s “Storybook” series, is heading to the Wii and Sega is rolling out the promotion wagon.

These new screens show off the sword-swinging hedgehog and a certain red echidna, who looks so very precious in his tiny suit of armor.
