Yeah, you’ll learn the hard way, son. “Lucky” kids all over the world unwrapped their presents on Christmas Day and, according to an unhealthy amount of Youtube videos, went thoroughly insane. My prediction is that, by now, the waggle boxes are already sitting untouched on the floor.

The above video, as spotted on Kotaku, is the thing that nightmares are made of. He screams like he’s being raped, murdered and losing a bet at the same time. And then comes the dancing … oh God the dancing. If you dare to watch, just be warned that it isn’t funny, not even in a “so bad it’s good” kind of way. It will just make you want to find the nearest physician and beg him for a cheap vasectomy.

Rock Band 2 DLC almost ready for Wii ... Nick Chester made me do this story screenshot

When Rock Band 2 was announced for the Wii, Harmonix promised that downloadable songs would finally be available. It’s been a week, but where are they? They’re certainly not on any hard drives SD cards right now.

If you’re one of the twisted creatures who were looking forward to downloading songs for the Wii, don’t fret too hard. The DLC is in the “final testing stages,” as confirmed by Harmonix community manager Sean Baptiste. Twenty free bonus songs will be released, along with thirty other tracks, “as early in 2009 as possible.”

In addition, it has been promised that Wii owners will eventually get hundreds of songs with the release of the entire Rock Band back catalogue. So sit tight, guys; everything will be okay.

Ordering food through a Wii? Guess what country you will be able to do that in screenshot

In Japan, it seems that the Wii is replacing virtually everything else in the household. You can play games with it, you can read the news with it, you can browse the World wide web with it, you can watch Television on it and very soon, you’ll even be able to order food with it.

The “Food Delivery Channel” is of course announced for Japan only, and will use the Demae-can.com ordering service so that Nintendo fans need not leave their little white waggle box to have pizza, sushi, curry, and plenty more international cuisine sent straight to their doorsteps.

As if that’s not enough, you can even surprise yourself with a randomizing option. Helpful for indecisive people, or those with food allergies who fancy playing Russian roulette with their digestive system.

Les Claypool adding lyrics to his Mushroom Men score screenshot

Our full review of Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars has yet to be published (be patient), but here’s a bit of a spoiler — the music (and sound design) is excellent.

So it’s good news to hear that Les Claypool, the musician behind the game’s soundtrack, plans to add lyrics to the arrangements.

Monster Hunter G getting ported to the Wii in Japan, waggle not included screenshot

Capcom has a hard on for all things Wii it seems, especially in Japan. On top of the Resident Evil ports, Capcom is now bringing Monster Hunter G to the Wii in Japan according to the latest Famitsu. The game was originally on the PlayStation 2 and later ported to the PSP as Monster Hunter Freedom.

Monster Hunter G
will be out Spring 2009 and will be a near identical port with the exception of the new 16:9 widescreen mode and the ability to send items bought from shops directly to your home. Fans of the series will be happy to learn that there will be no waggle involved, as the game only works with the Classic Controller.

There’s no word on any on the web fees, but Monster Hunter G should be out before Monster Hunter (tri) is released in 2009. Are any of you hoping Monster Hunter G gets released outside of Japan?
