If you’re as pumped as I am for Bayonetta, or one of the many excited for MadWorld, then it’s your lucky bloody day, as developer Platinum Games has opened up a Web site for all fork-tongued Western devils. Huzzah!
There’s a blog, trailers, a forum, all that good stuff, so it’s worth checking out if you’re a Platinum fan. Right now there’s a slight technical hitch which seems to now allow some users to pass the age gates, but it’s being worked on.

Capcom US has always struck me as a company that doesn’t really take any crap from fanboys. Ever since it mocked PS3 wingnuts over Devil Might Cry 4 coming to the Xbox 360, the publisher’s STFUAJPG mentality is one I’ve come to respect. It’s not limited to PS3 fans either, as Xbox 360 lovers have come under fire for moaning about Dead Rising’s Wii debut.
“Whenever a game gets brought from one console to another — whether it’s a port or, in the case of Dead Rising: Chop till You Drop (DR:CTYD), a complete reworking of the original — the Internet gets riled up,” explains a Capcom rep. In their thinking, they feel that any other version is a “betrayal.” There are also those that get angry at new versions of a title because they think it’s just another way for the publishers to make money.
“Let’s get this out of the way: Will DR:CTYD look as beautiful on the Wii as Dead Rising did on the Xbox 360? No. Will it have the same number of zombies on screen at the same time? No. Does that mean we should deny Wii gamers the joy that 360 owners had in surviving three days in a zombie-infested mall? The answer is, obviously, no.
“… some claim that the only reason we brought Dead Rising to the Wii was to make money … You’re right, we’ve been caught: We’re guilty of being a business. In fact, as a gamer, you should want a brand that you love to be successful, because that increases the chance that we’ll make more games.”

Really, why are all of these health products being made for the Japanese public? Look at your bodies, Japan. You don’t need this sh*t! Now look over here. Yeah. See that? Fat rolls everywhere!
This Wii Fit Body Check Channel program gives health instruction and sends Wii Fit data to health professionals. It also accepts data from the DS walking title Aruite Wakaru Seikatsu Rhythm DS. Japanese electronics giants NEC, Panasonic and Hitachi all have plans to do something with this tech in their big lines of consumer products. For example, Panasonic’s system, Plissimo Sigusa, will be offered to health organizations and insurance companies in April.
Andriasang.com says that the goal is to use this Wii Fit Body Check Channel as a bridge between users and professionals. NEC’s system will be used to support employees and their families as sort of a mobile health check.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, but Ubisoft has just announced that it will be releasing an all-new, original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the Wii this fall.

Did you own a Genesis back when the console was in its prime? Did you watch the first three seconds of this video yet? If you answered yes to both questions, then you know what it’s like to be attacked by a wave of nostalgia.
Mega Man 9 might have been the first WiiWare game to shamelessly attempt to steal the childhoods of young adults and resell it to them, but it looks like Pole’s Huge Adventure plans to take the practice to new heights. Thing is, it looks like that’s about all this game is trying to do. Thus far, the only things Pole’s Massive Adventure has going for it are its resemblance to games for the Sega Master System, and a few cultural reference “jokes” related to Super Mario Bros. .
And it’s working. I will buy this game just for the “SAY-GAH”. If that’s not enough nostalgia-whoring for you, check out the game’s official site. It’ll flash you back to 1985 faster than the flux-capacitor.

Oh, ESRB.org — it’s one of the only places I can read the words “a fantastic succubus with cleavage and panties.”
This is, of course, in their description for the upcoming digital metal-fest, Guitar Hero: Metallica. In its effort to describe the T-rated title, the ESRB also reveals some suggestive lyrics that reveals that following songs will appear on the soundtrack:
- Metallica – “Am I Evil?” (”sweet and timely whore, take me home”)
- Metallica – “Whiplash” (”We’re gathered here to maim and kill”)
- Michael Schenker Group – “Armed and Ready” (”I got a gunsight trained on you”)
- Social Distortion – “Mommy’s Tiny Monster” (”Mommy’s little monster had sex at 15″)
The MSG track, “Armed and Ready,” was previously revealed in an issue of Game Informer, which hit shelves last month. You can check out those tracks here.
Guitar Hero: Metallica and its expletives, sexual references, and revealing clothing will hit shelves on March 29.

As CES this year, I had a chance to see the trailer for Dreamwork’s upcoming film Monsters vs. Aliens … in 3D. You see, everything at CES had to be in 3D, be it films or — in some cases — videogames.
