Harmonix and MTV have announced next week’s Rock Band Store update, with a chance for a theme completely missed. See if you can figure it out:

Ministry – “Cuz U R Next”
Ministry – “LiesLiesLies”
The Zombies – “She’s Not There”
The Zombies – “Tell Her No”
The Cranberries – “Linger”

Tracks will cost you $1.99, 200 Wii Points, or 160 MS Points a piece depending on what console you own. If you’ve a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, the “Ministry Pack 1” will run you $5.49 or 440 MS Points, respectively.

So here’s what I’m getting at: two songs by English rockers The Zombies is good news. But what’s up with The Cranberries “Linger”? Would it haven’t been a great idea to maybe release, I don’t know, “Zombie” instead? And I love me some Ministry (already saving my MS Points for the full Psalm 69 album download, guys), but how about some White Zombie instead?

This week, the Boston Police department has confirmed it will report any and all zombie activity in and around Harmonix’s Cambridge-based offices. With that in mind, the lack of a zombie-themed DLC week is both upsetting and disappointing. It’s “too late to say you’re sorry,” Harmonix. *rim shot*
