Metroid Prime fans, prepare to splooge! Nintendo has just announced that it will be bringing the critically acclaimed Metroid Prime Trilogy to the Wii with motion controls, enhanced presentation and brand new in-game rewards.

A new three-game compilation including the previous GameCube titles along with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will launch on August 24 for $49.99. You can expect Metroid Prime 1 & 2 to play the same way Corruption did, so if you were a fan of Samus Aran’s Wii debut, then this is definitely the trilogy for you. Fifty bucks for three games isn’t too shabby, either.

“Metroid Prime Trilogy puts the best first-person adventures all in one place, with a host of new additions that make these three timeless titles more engaging than ever,” states NoA’s Cammie Dunaway. “A great deal of care and detail has gone into Metroid Prime Trilogy, providing longtime fans with new ways to experience the games they love.”

So, who’s excited about this one? Hit the jump for the full press release.
