Nintendo software won large in December according to the latest NPD Group information, beating out Activision’s behemoth and various other titles released before or during the hot and steamy seasonal month.
Selling 2.82 million units, New Super Mario Bros. Wii claimed the number one spot in the Group’s Top 10 chart. Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus came in a close second with a grand total of 2.41 estimated units. Wii Sports Resort sold 1.79 million units while Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 rounded out the top five by selling 2.75 million units combined (Xbox 360 & PS3).
